Keith Demaray
Senior Project Manager / Architect
Keith Demaray has over forty years of experience in healthcare architecture, planning, design, and construction. Initially, Keith wanted to be an artist, but his father encouraged him to pursue a career in architecture as a way to be artistic and solve problems creatively. In his senior year of high school, he began working in the design industry with the intention of becoming an architect one day. His first job was an unpaid position with the State of California in exchange for high school credits. Since he could not afford architecture school, he worked as a designer and drafter for contractors and developers. After gaining enough experience, he was hired by an architectural firm. He then apprenticed until he was approved to sit for the architectural exams. Since then, Keith has become an expert in healthcare architecture design, specializing in hospitals, specifically acute care settings. Keith builds furniture outside work and enjoys sailing the San Francisco Bay. Some items on his bucket list include crossing the Pacific and Atlantic oceans under sail, touring the canals of England and France on a narrowboat, and seeing the mid-summer eve north of the arctic circle, preferably in Norway. One thing that might surprise people to know about Keith is that he was a certified childbirth instructor.
