Cristina Alcala
Co-Founder
As a fiercely devoted mother and accomplished architect, Cristina has pursued a career that combines her love of art and science. With a career in architecture that began in high school drafting for her father's civil engineering company, she went on to graduate from Cal Poly University with a BS in Architecture, where a year studying abroad in Florence sparked her passion for creative design. With over 12 years of experience designing and managing high-end residential homes, her rewarding career journey led her to co-found M+A, where she enjoys working alongside her best friend and husband, Jaime. Beyond her work, she enjoys training her family pup, studying nutrition and neuroscience, meditating, and tending to her indoor jungle and outdoor vegetable garden. A surprising fact is that she became hooked on aerial silks at the age of 45, fulfilling a dream she had since seeing a Cirque du Soleil show in 1996. One day, she hopes to fulfill a bucket list item by returning to school to obtain a degree in Functional Medicine and Functional Developmental Behavioral Neuroimmunology to help people of all ages achieve optimal health free of charge.
