MOB Ultrasound Room | Kaiser Watsonville
This project was initiated to establish a new ultrasound room within the Kaiser Watsonville Medical Office Building. M+A swiftly mobilized to address this challenge, aiming to convert the existing hallway space into a functional non-templated imaging Ultrasound room. In a matter of days, multiple options were presented for Kaiser’s consideration, with a focus on managing costs and streamlining the scope of work.
An example of cost management and streamlined operations is the proposed strategic placement of the new sink. It will be positioned back-to-back with the existing sink to minimize the need for extensive floor saw-cutting and plumbing adjustments. M+A also conducted a thorough examination to explore the feasibility of retaining or repurposing the existing ceiling, even as new walls are constructed to create this innovative and much-needed room.
Client: Kaiser Permanente
Completed: In Design
Permit Approval process: City of Watsonville
